Asia Pacific Internet Research Alliance (APIRA) was founded
on September 27, 2003. It is a spontaneously organized and
non-profit organization. It is a regional organization and is
not subjected to any other organizations. Internet research oriented organizations, include but not limited to Policy/Regulatory organizations, companies, enterprises, research institutes, colleges and other Internet organizations located in Asia-Pacific region are welcome to join us.
TOP INTERNET COUNTRIES IN ASIA

China leads the list with the highest number of internet users with 338 million followed by Japan with 94 million, India with 81 million and South Korea with 37.5 million. Indonesia leads the south-east Asian countries with 25 million, followed by the Philippines with 24 million. Internet users in Asia represent 42.6% of the total internet users in the world and is set to increase exponentially in the future.
POPULAR SEARCH SITES
Google Sites ranked as the top search destination in Asia Pacific, commanding more than 44% share of searches performed in the region. Baidu.com Inc. followed with 8.2 billion searches (21.3% share), while Yahoo! Sites grabbed the #3 position with 5.3 billion searches (13.8% share).
